What are NSE and BSE stock market timings in India?

NSE and BSE operate from 9:15 AM to 3:30 PM IST on weekdays (Monday to Friday). Pre-market runs 9:00–9:15 AM and the post-market closing session runs 3:40–4:00 PM. Both are closed on weekends and NSE/BSE-declared holidays. See the full schedule including MCX and SGX Nifty hours.

What is India VIX and how do I read it?

India VIX is NSE’s volatility index — it measures 30-day expected volatility of the Nifty 50 from the full option chain. VIX above 20 signals elevated fear and richer option premiums; below 12 signals complacency. Historical average is around 18.

What is the Put-Call Ratio (PCR) and how do I use it?

PCR is total put open interest divided by total call open interest on an index or stock. PCR above 1.3 is contrarian bullish (extreme put buying often precedes reversals); below 0.7 is contrarian bearish. Use PCR as a confirmation filter alongside support/resistance.

What is Drishti?
